Mobile, AL, March 5, 2025 – Ozanam Charitable Pharmacy today announced it is among 11 free and charitable clinics/pharmacies that received a grant from Direct Relief’s Community Routes: Access to Mental Health. The initiative continues to address the critical need for expanded mental health services in communities across Alabama, Mississippi, and Texas.
The grants, which were dispersed in December 2024 through January 2025, are funded by Teva Pharmaceuticals and implemented by Direct Relief and the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics.
Ozanam Charitable Pharmacy has received $75,000 from Community Routes: Access to Mental Health Care to implement depression screening tools within its pharmacy services and connect patients with necessary resources. This grant enhances access to additional mental health resources for our patients. Shearie Archer, the Executive Director of Ozanam Charitable Pharmacy, expressed gratitude on behalf of Ozanam’s patients for the partnership with Teva Pharmaceuticals, Direct Relief, and the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics. She stated that this collaboration will significantly improve the lives of our patients by providing additional mental health resources and support.
